California Politician Pushes for Medical Price Transparency

California Assembly member Roger Hernandez (D) has proposed a bill to create an online database for healthcare service pricing, according to a Capital Public Radio report.

Mr. Hernandez said consumers do research and price comparisons before making big purchases in other areas so they should be afforded the same opportunity prior to a medical procedure.
