61% of Providers Say ICD-10 Testing Will Take 9 to 12 Months

A new report from Qualitest Group shows that around 75 percent of healthcare organizations have not began testing for ICD-10 despite the looming deadline for a full transition next year.

Around 26 percent of the respondents to the survey said their organization completed the impact assessment but had not started planning the ICD-10 testing efforts. Another 33 percent said the organization completed planning for the ICD-10 testing, but had not started the testing process.

Most respondents, 61 percent, said their organization was planning through revenue impact testing with trading partners and around 44 percent said they expect their organization's ICD-10 testing efforts to last nine to 12 months.
