3M devised a new version of the 3M ICD-10 code translation tool to help healthcare providers with the upcoming October deadline, according to Health IT Outcomes.

1. The toolbox now includes Current Procedural Terminology in addition to other HCPCS codes.
2. The updates will ease the transition for hospital organizations and physician practices in adopting the new coding system.
3. Practices can expect new software products from big vendors with the approaching October deadline.
4. Wolters Kluwer recently launched its ICD-10 readiness package consisting of services and software through its Health Language family of products.
5. Many providers are struggling to meet the deadline with the multiple delays from CMS and opposition from some sectors.
