Urologist Defends Illinois ASC, Industry Over Infection Control Article

Paul Merrick, MD, president of DuPage Medical Group in Illinois and an urologist at the DuPage Medical Group Surgical Center in Lombard, defended his ASC and the surgery center industry in a letter to a local newspaper following an article in the publication about infection risks in ASCs.

The letter sent by Dr. Merrick to the Daily Herald in response to an article titled "Surgery Clinics Risking Infection" challenges the accuracy of the article and shares details about DMG Surgical Center's infection control efforts and successes.
