UNC Student Health Center Earns 3-Year AAAHC Accreditation

The student health center at the University of North Carolina in Charlotte has received an additional three years of accreditation from the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care.

More than 3,600 ambulatory healthcare organizations across the country are accredited by AAAHC. Ambulatory centers seeking accreditation undergo a self-assessment and onsite survey by volunteer physicians, nurses and administrators.

"Our primary responsibility is to our patients and the quality care that we provide. AAAHC re-accreditation means we continue to attain the highest standards possible for our facility and procedures," said David Rousmaniere, Student Health Center director.  "Going through the re-accreditation process challenged us to once again explore how to better serve our patients."
