Two endoscopy centers underwent a successful accreditation survey in March.
The Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care performed surveys on the AmSurg-affiliated Diagnostic Endoscopy Center in Stamford, Conn., and Endoscopy Center of Delaware in Newark in early March.
Here are three things to know about the Diagnostic Endoscopy Center:
1. There are nine physicians at the center.
2. Procedures include colonoscopy, flexible sigmoidoscopy and upper endoscopy.
3. The center opened in August 2001 and has Medicare certification.
Here are three things to know about the Endoscopy Center of Delaware:
1. There are 12 physicians affiliated with the center.
2. There are more than 12,000 procedure performed at the center each year.
3. The center has served the tri-state area for more than 15 years.
