Joint Commission Provides Educational Resources on New Influenza Vaccination Standard

The Joint Commission is providing several educational resources focusing on its new standard IC.02.04.01 on influenza vaccination for licensed independent practitioners and staff.

 

IC.02.04.01 applies to all accreditation programs and was announced in September. It begins (through a phased approach) to go into effect in July 2012. View the standard by clicking here and selecting your program.

An online presentation on the revised standard for critical access hospitals, hospitals and long-term care organizations has been delayed a few days and will be available on The Joint Commission's website by the end of this week, according to a report in Joint Commission Online.
