Glendale, Calif.-based Avalon Surgery & Robotic Center earned accreditation from the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care.

1. The Avalon center has a one-to-one registered nurse to patient ratio and has several physicians on staff.
2. The center is one of only seven independently owned surgery centers in the U.S. to perform robotic surgery.
3. The center offers several services including colonoscopies, orthopedic, hemorrhoid and podiatry.
