Mark G. Pelletier, RN, MS, is the COO, Accreditation and Certification Operations at The Joint Commission. He has executive leadership responsibilities for the accreditation and certification of more than 20,000 healthcare organizations and programs.
He also has responsibilities for all survey-related activities, eligibility, application process, customer account management and federal deeming compliance requirements. He previously served as executive director for the Hospital Accreditation Program.
Throughout his more than 25-year career, Mr. Pelletier has focused on quality improvement, hospital operations, process redesign and program development. He held several executive positions for hospitals in the Chicago area.
