Premier Outpatient Surgery Center successfully completed an accreditation survey. The AmSurg-affiliated center underwent an Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care survey on Nov. 17 to 18. The ASC is also Medicare-certified and have a 99-plus percent patient satisfaction rate. The surgery center has been open since 2001 and includes orthopedics, plastic surgery, otolaryngology, pain management and vascular procedures.
Laser & Skin Surgery Center of New York received Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care accreditation. This is the 18th year the center has achieved voluntary accreditation. Roy Geronemus, MD, leads the surgery center, and along with other center physicians received recognition of their treatment for acne scarring with the Picosecond Pulse Duration Laser by The JAMA Dermatology Network.
Phelps Medical Associates-Gastroenterology was granted reaccreditation from The Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care. Phelps Medical Associates-Gastroenterology is a practice of Phelps Memorial Hospital's multispecialty medical group. The reaccreditation is for three years.
The Connecticut Eye Surgery Center South achieved accreditation. The surgery center completed an Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care survey in December. Connecticut Eye Surgery Center South is an AmSurg center that includes glaucoma procedures, eyelid revision procedures, refractive surgery and laser trabeculoplasty.
Des Peres Square Surgery Center in St. Louis, EndoCentre of Baltimore and Phonix Endoscopy, all AmSurg-affiliated surgery centers and endoscopy centers, received accreditation from the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care. The surveys took place in early-to-mid November for all three centers.
