PharMEDium Unveils OR Medication Verification System
PharMEDium has unveiled with the certiMED system, a solution designed to support medication safety and documentation in the operating room, according to a Sacramento Bee report.
The certiMED system is a bar code scanner that supports medication verification administration. The scanner was developed with pharmacy requirements in mind and is intended to provide a way to reconcile medications in real time while supporting the anesthesia provider by integrating pharmacy resources into the medication use process.
The certiMED system is intended to be used with the line of PharMEDium Ready-to-Use OR syringe medications, according to the report.
