Indiana Orthopedic Hospital Selects New Anesthesia Information Management System

Indiana Orthopedic Hospital has selected Surgical Information Systems Anesthesia as its anesthesia information management system.

The Indianapolis-based hospital, which is physician-owned and performs more than 10,000 surgical procedures each year, will also implement SIS Analytics Anesthesia View. The tool will enable anesthesia providers to view data from the OR and improve anesthesia work flow processes and operational efficiencies.

"An electronic anesthesia record and a rich set of perioperative data to support reporting and care improvement efforts is a key component of our ongoing success, especially in the current hospital operating environment which is impacted so strongly by healthcare reform mandates and intensifying demands from health care payors," said Joseph R. Lafnitzegger, MD, chief of anesthesia at IOH.
