1. The Foundation for Anesthesia Education and Research is a related organization of the American Society of Anesthesiologists and its mission is to advance medicine through anesthesia research and education.
2. Dr. Eisenach is the Francis M. James, III Professor of Anesthesiology and Physiology & Pharmacology at Wake Forest School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, N.C.
3. He has served as editor-in-chief of Anesthesiology for the last 10 years.
4. He has received a number of awards over the course of his career, including the Excellence in Research Award from the ASA and an NIH Merit Award.
