Anna Shapiro, MD, has been hired at a medical center in the U.S. island territory Guam, according to Guam Pacific Daily News.
Here are five things to know about Dr. Shapiro:
1. She has joined Dededo-based Guam Regional Medical City as an anesthesiologist.
2. She is licensed to practice medicine in California and Guam.
3. She holds certifications in advanced cardiac life support, pediatric advanced life support and advanced trauma life support.
4. She recently finished a critical care medicine fellowship at Stanford University in California.
5. She earned her medical degree at University of Vermont College of Medicine in Burlington, after which she did residency training at UC San Diego School of Medicine.
