California's Kaweah Delta Health Care District Names Dr. Roy Winston Anesthesiology Chief
Kaweah Delta Health Care District in Visalia, Calif., has named Roy Winston, MD, chief of anesthesiology for its anesthesia department, according to a Visalia Times Delta report.
Dr. Winston is currently associate director of anesthesiology at a New York City hospital that has contracted with Somnia Anesthesia, the company that will take over anesthesia services at Kaweah Delta in December.
Dr. Winston started working with Somnia a year ago, as it started partnerships with anesthesia departments at St. Barnabas Hospital in the Bronx and Memorial Healthcare Hospital in Owosso, Mich. Somnia provides anesthesia services for 45 facilities in 14 states nationwide.
Dr. Winston will start at Kaweah Delta with 13 physicians and 10 CRNAs.
