ASA Launches Campaign Opposing CMS' CRNA Proposal

The American Society of Anesthesiologists launches a campaign to urge the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services to rescind a proposal to allow certified registered nurse anesthetists to practice interventional pain management.

ASA and physicians have already submitted comments opposing the proposal, and CMS will review the comments before making a final ruling before November.

The grassroots campaign is urging practitioners and citizens to contact members of Congress and demand the proposal be redacted.
