Anesthesia & Analgesia Releases iPad App

The editors of Anesthesia & Analgesia, official journal of the International Anesthesia Research Society, have announced the launch of an Anesthesia & Analgesia for the iPad app, according to a release.

The new electronic edition brings the entire contents of each issue to the iPad. The app is available free of charge for a limited time, including free access to full-text articles.

"The digital version of Anesthesia & Analgesia retains the familiar format of the print journal, while offering the advantages of digital comment," said Steven L. Shafer, MD, of Columbia University, editor-in-chief of the journal. "For example, video is directly integrated into the digital version, opening new venues for authors to communicate scientific discoveries and clinical insight. One iPad can replace shelves of printed journals."
