Sheridan, the physician services division of AmSurg, acquired Boca Raton, Fla.-based Resolute Anesthesia and Pain Solutions and Clermont, Fla.-based South Lake Anesthesia Services.
Here are six things to know:
1. Resolute Anesthesia and Pain Solutions is one of the largest ambulatory-based anesthesiology practices in the country, with more than 100 providers.
2. The practice provides care at 20 ambulatory surgery centers, three hospitals and nine pain management clinics in Florida, New Jersey, Missouri and Illinois.
3. South Lake Anesthesia Services is the exclusive provider of anesthesia services at South Lake Hospital, South Lake Hospital Outpatient Surgery Center and South Lake Endoscopy Center, all based in Clermont.
4. Sheridan is expanding its anesthesia business through acquisitions. In May, the company acquired Jandee Anesthesiology Partners and Karadan Anesthesiology and Pain Management.
5. In April, Sheridan acquired North Florida Anesthesia Consultants in Jacksonville.
6. As of March 31, AmSurg owned and operated 256 ASCs and one surgical hospital in 34 states and the District of Columbia.
